Grief touches everyone differently, and it often brings a complex mix of emotions that can feel overwhelming or isolating. Whether you’re coping with the loss of a loved one or navigating another significant life change, you don’t have to go through it alone.

At Tangible Wellness, we provide a safe, supportive space where you can share what’s on your mind—without judgement. Our compassionate team is here to help you process your emotions, gain clarity, and move forward at your own pace with guidance that’s both practical and personal.

Loss Takes Many Forms

Grief can be complex, and it is deeply personal--no two experiences are the same. Whether you're coping with the loss of a loved one, a major life change, or something in between, we're here to support you through it all.

Grief Looks Different For Everyone

Sadness is a natural and common part of loss, but grief can also show up in ways you might not expect. It can leave you feeling emotionally numb, easily frustrated, physically drained, or out of step with your usual routines. Everyone’s grief is different—and all of it is valid.

Emotional Numbness or Disconnection

You may feel detached from others or lose interest in things you once enjoyed. Numbness is a common response to grief, making it difficult to fully engage with daily life.

Prone to Irritability or Anger

Grief can show up as frustration, impatience, or anger—sometimes directed inward or at others. These emotions are normal but can feel confusing or unexpected.

Fatigue or Difficulty Concentrating

Grief often affects your energy levels and mental clarity, leaving you feeling exhausted or foggy. Even simple tasks might feel overwhelming or hard to complete.

Changes in Eating or Sleeping Habits

You might find yourself sleeping too much or too little, or noticing shifts in your appetite. Grief can disrupt your body’s usual rhythms and self-care routines.

How We Can Help:

Our social worker will create a space where you can speak freely and feel genuinely heard. We meet you with empathy, curiosity, and care—no judgment, no pressure. Together, we’ll explore your emotions, values, and strengths, helping you feel more grounded and in control. Through this process, we’ll help you navigate grief and begin to reconnect with yourself at your own pace.

Step 1: Start with a Safe Conversation

We begin by creating a space where you can share your experience openly—whether you feel like talking a little or a lot. Your social worker will listen with empathy and without judgment, helping you feel at ease. This is your time to process initial feelings, build trust, and know you are not alone in this.

Step 2: Explore Emotions and Patterns

As you feel more comfortable, we’ll work together to explore emotions like sadness, anger, guilt, or numbness. Your social worker will help you recognize how grief may be affecting your daily life—whether through thought patterns, emotional triggers, or behaviors—and gently guide you in making sense of these experiences.

Step 3: Develop Coping Tools Together

We’ll introduce simple, tailored strategies to help you navigate difficult moments. This might include grounding exercises, emotional regulation techniques, journaling, or other coping tools designed to reduce overwhelm and help you feel more in control as you move through grief.

Step 4: Find Meaning and Reconnection

As you move forward, we’ll help you explore what healing looks like for you. Together, we’ll identify ways to reconnect with parts of your life that bring you comfort, meaning, and hope—whether that’s your values, loved ones, routines, or personal goals. We’ll walk alongside you as you find your path forward.
