About Us

Tangible Wellness is a service provider focused on individual nutrition counselling, workplace wellness events, and consulting. We happily serve Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. 

Services are provided by Alia Virjee, a Registered Dietitian, who is a trained nutrition expert and a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario. 

We provide credible and evidence-based services tailored specifically for you.

Hi! My name is Alia Virjee and I’m so happy you’re here!

 

I’m a Registered Dietitian and the founder of Tangible Wellness. I really believe in embracing simplicity through our diets. Eating well in real life can be a challenge, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. With all the misinformation out there, I know how hard it is to determine a path that’s healthy and right for you. I can help with that! 

 

I have a Master of Science in Foods and Nutrition (MScFN) from Western University and over 10 years of experience helping hundreds of people achieve their best health. I rely on the trusted relationship between me and my clients to collaboratively help you find your balance and create a tailored plan that works for you.

Whether you are trying to manage your weight, need advice for your picky eating toddler or manage a health condition, we can work together to meet your goals.

More About Me 

 

I live in Markham, Ontario with my wonderful husband and two active boys!

There isn't much a good cup of chai can't improve upon, any time is tea time.

When I was 18, my dad had a massive heart attack on the golf course. That’s when I first started to learn about the power of nutrition and manipulating food to improve health. He’s back on the golf course now :)

I never intended to start a business! I worked for years, within my community serving clients who were underprivileged and at risk. I felt that this was my calling.

In 2017, I became a mother and I started to experience the vulnerability felt by moms and caregivers everywhere. Am I doing this right? How do I find the time to take care of myself? How do I ensure my baby grows well?

My first son brought me so much joy and so many questions! That's when I knew I needed to use my expertise to expand my reach. So Tangible Wellness was born.

Being a Mom helps me relate to others, parents or not, who have good intentions but can’t seem to find the time to make themselves a priority.

I get it. I know that setting nutrition goals is easy, but implementing them into your real life is hard. I see it as my job to support you with that.
